I love to make these sculptures…so many textures, so much attitude to express. So many tools to use: the fast wheel, the slow wheel, steel knives, wood knives, drills, pointy sticks, textured rollers. Specially made hammers…rolling, cutting, piercing, luting, scoring-and-slipping, the long process of slow drying and super slow bisque firing…all before even getting to the glaze kiln.
